Vesuvius, Oplonti & Winery day trip

During the trip your professional english speaking driver will be available for any information about the area. Your first stop is the Vesuvius National Park. This natural park has been founded to save the values of the territory and allow a correct integration between men and environment and to promote education and scientific activities. 

Vesuvius is one of the most famous volcano in the world and it is made up of an external truncated cone and the extinct “Monte Somma”. This is the symbol of Naples and its shape is absolutely unique. The crater has a diameter of 450mts and a depth of 300mts. After this great and interesting visit, your driver can stop you in one of the best vineyard of the area where you can see many and particular kind of grapes. You will also have the chance to enjoy a wine tasting with lunch. 

The third stop is Oplonti archeological site. This amazing place is located in the city of Torre Annunziata and it was buried with Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 AD, after the Vesuvius eruption. A series of archeological finds has been attributed to Oplonti: the villa of Poppea Sabina, a rustic villa attributed to Cassius Tertius, a large quantity of gold and silver coins and a thermal bath structure. The main monument of the place is the Villa of Poppea which is decorated with stunning frescoes and marble sculptures. It is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
